Art In Motion -

Greetings Families,  

We are College Bound!!! And I mean that for real for real!!! When I arrived at AIM we had not yet had any graduates and our highest grade level was our Junior Class of 2024. They, of course, would go on to graduate the following year. Since then, we have worked extraordinarily hard to strengthen our counseling department, we have added a College Seminar Course, and have established partnerships with Columbia College, Chicago State University, Northeastern University, Chicago City Colleges and soon Depaul University and their Theatre School.

As our mission statement says, “we believe that strong academics fuel creativity, and that every student deserves access to the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to pursue college and other postsecondary opportunities.” This year I am so proud to say The Mighty Phoenixes have reached new heights as they plan for life after AIM:

• As of today, nearly 100% of our seniors have successfully completed ALL coursework required to graduate. 

• 98% Have completed the CPS required Learn. Plan. Succeed. Initiative that aids students in the planning of their post secondary pathway. 

• 97% of our students have applied and been admitted to a College or University. 

• 96% have completed their FAFSA which determines their eligibility for financial support during their studies

• 10 of our seniors have earned College Credit before they even graduated; making their journey in college even easier. 

This is why we do what we do each day. We want to set your children up for success in the field of their choosing. We want our students to be Outstanding Contributors in the Professional Art Fields as well as High Achievers in the Performance Arts. We know that by earning their degrees and certificates in their fields of interest, THEY WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!!!

So as we send off our scholars to University of Illinois, Tuskegee University, Roosevelt University, Virginia State University, Xavier University, Northern Illinois University, Eastern Illinois University, Western Illinois University and Southern Illinois University! Chicago State University, Columbia College, George Mason University, Tennessee State University, Arizona State University, Jackson State University, City Colleges of Chicago and many more, we hope for your continuous support as we continue to make Art in Motion THE BEST ART FOCUSED HIGH SCHOOL IN AMERICA!!!
