Our October PEN meeting had parents from all grades represented – if you missed the October meeting, we do hope to see you at the November meeting, Saturday, November 18 at 10:30am. Special thanks to our guest speaker, Ms. Beyonca Johnson – she was absolutely fantastic! Ms. Johnson shared insights and strategies on a variety of topics including her love and dedication for the children, outreach programs, veterans, and much more. We are so proud of Dionne, Armond and Jaylen, AIM students who joined Kobe Williamson, @Distinctive Schools IT Network Engineer for a crash course in IT! During the "Network Infrastructure Revamp and Refresh” project students received a short lesson in IT fundamentals, hands-on training, and connected Ethernet cables to get our building wired and ready for learning! We’re so proud of our students and love to see the collaboration with the Distinctive IT team! #LearnerConnected

We're excited to announce this Saturday's speaker for our Parent Engagement Network (PEN) meeting: Ms. Beyonca Johnson, founder of Lifescore Foundation! Ms. Johnson will share more about the Lifescore mission to provide programs and resources that address the unique challenges faced by youth, senior citizens, veterans, and others, including workforce development, financial literacy, and trauma assistance. Lifescore Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals and families on the south side of Chicago to thrive through education, support, and community-building.
