The number of reported cases of Covid-19 in Chicago and throughout IL continues to surge; based on guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and out of an abundance of caution, we are temporarily limiting access to all campus buildings. This is in alignment with state officials announcing only essential out of the home travel. We will continue to monitor local health data and IDPH guidance, and will provide an update regarding resuming building access by November 27, 2020.
We will have our campus tech team’s available for tech support and device swaps aligned to local health guidelines one day per week. We will send an email to all families and students this week with specific information.
OFFICE HOURS BEGIN THIS WEEK!
Every Tuesday and Thursday after 2:30pm, teachers will be hosting office hours as an additional time to connect with students and support them with their work. Teachers will be discussing office hours with their students this week. If you have any questions about office hours with your student, please email your student's teacher or reach out to them on Remind.
Welcome to Quarter 2! Successful student outcomes is our priority. Our team is analyzing Summit Learning data in the areas listed below to create action steps for each student's success:

Freshman Mentoring with Common Ground
8th Grade Families ONLY:
Next week, our 8th grade students will be participating in the Distinctive Schools Virtual High School Fair. Historically, students have taken part in a physical high school fair. This year, we have moved the fair into a virtual space.
The High School Fair will include a variety of dynamic and thought-provoking activities and events for students to engage in and enjoy. It is built to provide our 8th graders (and you) with the inspiration and information they will need to forge a successful and productive 8th grade year, understanding of Go CPS and high school career!
On Monday, we will kick-off the week with an Opening Program and High School Roundtable Discussions. Tuesday will bring special interactive presentations from community organizations and recent graduates of our schools(s).
Participation in the High School Fair is required, and will be within student class time. Student expectations for attendance, engagement, and behavior remain the same.
